Stamford bridge

Here it was, finally the big day! After an almost sleepless night the sun had risen and along with it so had my level of excitement. As I shovelled my cereal into my mouth, nearly choking out of anticipation for the great derby, my mother looked at me unimpressed, chuckled and told me to take a shower before my sister entered the bathroom.

Jumping out of the shower still singing the anthems of my team, I headed straight to my wardrobe where my ironed, neatly placed uniform was staring at me. I put it on instantly, posing in the mirror as I continue to sing the anthem and practice my chants for the day. Spraying myself in my best perfume getting more excited with every glance of myself in my mirror. It was a great morning.

Having left my house, I walked down the road proudly, holding up my banner of the blues, my team colours emulate through me and my voice sings the melodies of my team. Excitement is an understatement! And everyone around me knew it, especially since they were looking at me as if I was some sort of enraged hooligan from the 70’s.I boarded the bus, the driver who was also an amid supporter of Chelsea let me on for free, out of the brotherhood the team gives us, and on that bus were many like me. A sea of blue in a big red bus.

Having got on the bus with my friend, we found seats on the upper deck I sat down at the back left of the bus were I usaully sit when I’m on my way to school on a stripey blue, red, green and yellow cotton seat, I’m so used to it that to me, it’s as comfortable as my sofa at home. My friend sat two seats infront of me and as we looked out the windows as the journey continued, we noticed the banners of our football club plasterd all over block windows and pubs… I felt like I was already there while still on my journey. Reaching our destinastion, me and my freind looked outside the wide hard glass of the bus’s windshield and we saw alot of chelsea fans this made me and my freind more excited. I ran down the stairs of the bus with such energy I think I jumped a few of the steps! and pressed the red stop button to get off the next stop there was lot of traffic my friend looked at me and whispered into my ear ‘I dare you to press the emergancy button’ so I thought to my self that the bus driver looked old and fat he would’nt be able to get us if I pressed it. So I did it quickly, I pushed my index finger on the emergancy button and as the doors slowly opened me and my friend were on our toes ready to desappeare from the bus driver.

After running in and out of the chelsea fans I looked up the stadium was right in front of us then looked back and said to my friend ‘We are a fare distance now from the bus we can stop running now’ my freind was exhausted i said to him ‘stop we have reached’

As i entered the enormous Stamford bridge stadium hearing the crowds cheering ”Chelsea ! Chellsseeaa !! Chelllssseeeaaa !!! i had goosebumps  that’s how excited i was i saw the wonderfully patterned stripey grass the smell immediately hit me it smelt beautiful. I grabbed my blue and wight flag from under my cold plastic seat and waved it gently feeling proud for my team and at the same time for the thousands of fans to see. The first half begins as the referee blows the small but loud black whistle as Chelsea get the game started everyone hoping Chelsea get a good start 20 minutes in the first half the score was still  0:0 Chelsea was playing poor so the supporters and i started to encourage the players by shouting loud ‘Come on Chelsea’ for a while then Chelsea stepped up there game and felt confident and they scored it was 1:0 to Chelsea the whole crowed stood up and jumped up and down on the hard concrete ground and was shouting ‘yesss’!!!!  feeling proud of there team. This gave me goose bumps everyone was feeling excited so we all started singing famous Chelsea songs. This carried on until the referee blew the whistle for the second half.

  1. Hamza. I makes me very happy to see you working on this at home. When you work independently like this you are increasing the benefit of the classroom work we do.

I look forward to going through this with you tomorrow.

  2. This reads well. The last paragraph needs work. You’ve repeated “this gave me goosebumps” too many times, and you’ve started using the incorrect lowercase for the word “I”

Fix these minor errors and develop the expression of the final paragraph (remember, describe the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight and sound) and this will get a very strong grade.

    Current grade: 28/40 – Band 3 – C2
