Bare vexed

This is a response to an article by Isabelle Kerr about the slang words in the English dictionary. I am writing this report on behalf of the younger generation that Isabelle hasn’t represented. I’m talking about the younger generation who are not ‘ASBO- wielding yobs who can’t communicate properly’. As a 16 year old male, I feel glad to disagree with Kerr in her argument because slang is useful for our English language because it is use full to our generation it also feels more relaxing. When Kerr is trying to be sarcastic by saying ‘im so gonna unlike that selfie of her twerking srsly though, these words wanna make me vom’,i understand what she is trying to say, which means she successfully communicated.

Isabelle Kerr is 20 years old so she is still a young lady who has experienced being a teenager and should have experienced slang words depending on where she grew up her child hood. Recently, Kerr has found out about the word ‘twerking’ which means “dancing to a popular music in a sexually provocative manner; involving thrusting hip movements and a low, squatting stance”. She is against the word ‘twerking’ because she hasn’t heard of the word before so  she looked it up and found out that it is not appropriate to be in the English dictionary. I think its just young people describing in there slang words.

I can tell you now

I can tell you now the human body is useless. Useless because I am a very gifted and talented footballer and what lets me down is my body if any part of my body gets injured or damaged it will affect me and my carer so that’s why I always keep thinking about it at the top of my mind. I am still doing GCSE so I have to be aware of my carer at football at the same time so I have to have a plan b because if I get injured and its a long term injury then I will have to go with my plan b which is coaching football because my passion is football. To be a football coach I need to have qualifications including English, maths, science and PE GCSE so it is hard for me to focus on all of these things also its a very important year for young footballers like me that are trying to get a scholarship with a professional club.

Imagen then how I was told by the physiotherapist about a small tear at my knee I was very glad to hear it was a short term injury because I could still carry on with my carer. So if I had a long term injury e.g. broken leg I will not be able to carry on with my carer so that’s why I have to study hard and get good grades. This is just a warning to me because something worse can happen. At the moment I feel very sad because I haven’t played football for almost 2 months and when I go every Sunday to watch my team play football my manager and the parents always says ” We are missing you Hamza and we cant wait until your fit again” This really got to me it meant to me that they are always caring and supportive with me because I am very important to them. Since I was injured they lost twice and won 4 times this shows how I am very important to them because we always win when I am playing. This Sunday they really have an important cup match against a very good team when the manager sent the text last night it said ‘this next cup game is the biggest match of our season’ so I have to really support them this Sunday and I will be the happiest teenager in the world if they win without me. I can tell you now the human body is useless. so you don’t always have rely on your body because your body is like a machine it can brake down at any moment.

Write about what the limitations of the human body have taught you
